Sometimes customer ask Verspec team what means by triple offset of triple offset butterfly valve.
Now let’s know what triple offset is:
A Triple Offset Butterfly Valve has 3 separate offsets. Two of the offsets apply to the location of the shaft in respect to the centerline of the bore and the centerline of the disc/seat sealing surfaces. The third offset is the design in the axis of the seat cone angle.

The advantages of Triple Offset Design
1- Unique conical sealing design ensures that the metal sealing components are never in contact until its final degree of closing – this results in repeatable sealing and a vastly extended valve life.
2- Metal-to-Metal sealing ensures bubble tight shut-off, resulting in zero-leakage performance
3- Suitability to harsh media – construction of the valve features no elastomers or materials typically affected by corrosion
4- Geometric design of sealing components provides friction-free stroking throughout the valve. This extends the valve life and allows a lower torque-actuator to be fitted.
5- There are no cavities between sealing components, resulting in no clogging, low maintenance and extended valve life.

You have to know these points before you buy GGC valves

Everyone know GGCV are widely used in petroleum, petro-chemical, oil and gas field, oil drilling platform and other projects.
Since we know GGCV is very important and widely used in many industries, but do you know how to buy good quality GGCV ? what are the key points you have to know ?
1-   Designing standard of GGCV: normally verspec produce gate valves according to API 600 or API 6D standard; globe valves according to BS1873 or ASME B16.34 standard; Check valves according to API 6D or BS 1868 Standard. When you place order to your supplier, you should mark design standard very clear.
2-   Mark on casting body: normally verspec marks logo, size, pressure, body material, heat number, flow directional (if applicable) on the casting body. All mark should be casted, welding is not acceptable.
3-   Valve seat: there are two difference seats verspec produced, one is welding alloys on the body, the other is replaceable seat. The price of replaceable seat will be higher than other one.

4-   NACE-MR-0175: this standard request metals for sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking resistance in sour oilfield environments. So if your order valves are used under above mentioned working conditions, you should request NACE standard to your supplier, of cause price with NACE standard will be higher than without.

what valve is the best choice for polysilicon powder transportation project

In solar energy polysilicon factories, during the transportation of silicon powder, the valve ball will be easily wrapped by silicon powder, after open and close many times, the valve metal seat will be destroyed very easy and seat become leakage. Because of hardness of silicon powder is very high (Mohs Hardness >
 7), using life of common materials ball valves normally very short.
VerSpec Valve Technology Department R&D the New Generation VBC series ceramic ball valve for polysilicon powder transporting. The all wet parts of this type valve all use high pure aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide ceramic materials, hardness of ceramic is a very hard material in the world (HRC 90), only lower than Diamond. 7.3 times harder than stainless steel. So there’s some Verspec ceramic ball valves were served in one severe projects of USA from July, 2015 to now, the using life is 6 times longer than normal material stainless steel ball valves.
What’s the main features of VBC series ceramic ball valve:
